2. Collection and storage of personal data
a) When visiting the website
When you access this website, your browser automatically sends information to our server, which is temporarily stored in a log file: the name of the file accessed, date and time of access, amount of data transferred, whether access was successful, browser type, operating system, referring page, provider, and IP address.
This data is used to ensure a smooth connection, comfortable use of the site, and to evaluate system security and stability, as well as for other administrative purposes. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest). We do not draw any conclusions about your identity from this data.
b) When using the contact or quote-request form
If you contact us via one of the forms on this website, we collect the data you provide (name, email address, optionally phone number, your message or request, optionally a file attachment) in order to process and respond to your enquiry. Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering a contract) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry).
The forms include a field that is invisible to human visitors, as well as a technical timing check, for spam prevention; this data is used solely to detect automated form submissions and is not stored. Your enquiry data is delivered to our mailbox by email and deleted once it is no longer needed to process your enquiry, unless statutory retention obligations apply. Your data is not passed on to third parties.
c) When using the guestbook
In the guestbook you may voluntarily publish a name, optionally your city, and a text. Your submission is reviewed by us before publication and only shown publicly on this website after approval. Your email address is not published; it is used solely internally to contact you or to notify you once your entry has been approved. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may object to the publication at any time and request deletion of your entry by emailing info@old-scripts.de.
3. Cookies
This website uses a technically necessary cookie / local browser storage to remember your choice in the cookie banner (essential only, or all categories), so the notice does not reappear on every visit. This storage is necessary for the operation of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
We currently do not use any analytics or marketing cookies (e.g. Google Analytics or Google Ads). Should we introduce these in the future, we will update this privacy policy accordingly and obtain your explicit consent beforehand via the cookie banner.
4. Disclosure of data
Your personal data is not transferred to third parties, unless you have given your express consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), there is a legal obligation to do so (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR), or it is necessary for the performance of a contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
